In this Practice Engine session, Aaron’s card segment, inspired by Tom Mullica, connects shuffles and false cuts into a sequence for returning and producing four selections, using four aces as practice stand-ins, with an emphasis on grip control and avoiding hesitation. Alex's coin segment refreshes the first phase of a coin matrix and spends extended time on its second phase, including live coaching on the classic palm.
Aaron continues the group's ongoing work on a cut sequence, discussing its history, finer grip details, practical applications for positioning a card, and a related ace production idea from the previous night's guest lecture. Alex revisits his coin matrix, teaching it phase by phase with each hand isolated, and performs both a real-coin and a shell version. Member questions cover shell handling, gear organization, and routine structure.
Aaron works through a packet-switch FT false cut and the FT gambler's false cut, giving live corrections on grip, angle, and timing, and discussing applications for card productions.
Alex teaches the full Matrix coin routine using a baseball-diamond memory aid for the move sequence, including the standard assembly, a reversing "backfire" phase, and an advanced handling that relocates the secret coin. Both segments emphasize understanding the logic behind a fixed sequence rather than memorizing it by rote.
