A spectator freely selects a card, signs their name on the face, and buries it anywhere in the deck. An envelope handed out earlier turns out to say just one word: balloons — the prediction, sight unseen. Three balloons are chosen at random and shuffled, and the spectator names one to pop. A hundred-dollar bill hits the table before anything else happens: if this goes wrong, it's yours. The deck is shuffled by the spectator, then cards are peeled off one at a time until they call stop — and the card they land on is a three.
